This special short story contest is organized in an effort to harness the energy, creativity and initiative in our community in promoting a writing culture. Please Read through all the instructions before submitting your story. Failure to comply to the guidelines will result in your story being disqualified.

Guidelines

1.	Stories may be submitted by anyone from the age of 16 years old (as of June 15, 2019) in one of the following age categories: a) Young Adults (16-24) and b) Adults (25 and above)
2.	Stories must be 1000 words or less in English, excluding story title and cover page. Stories may be typed or printed.
3.	Entries may be submitted to content@ndeipi.co.zw
4.	Entries submitted must include a cover page  indicating  (1) your name (2) age as of June 15, 2019 (3) Gender (4) e-mail (5) phone number (6) your essay title Teachers and youth directors may submit a collection of stories from their class or group. Please enclose a list of participants’ names, ages and the name and contact information of the submitting teacher or director. Entries missing any of the above information will not be considered. A cover page template is available to download. You may also create your own cover page with all items (1)-(6) above. The following categories are optional: 1. Age Category (Young Adult / Adult): 2. Nationality 3. Address 4. Word count 5. School name (if applicable): We are unable to confirm receipt of stories.
5.	Stories must be original and unpublished. Plagiarized entries will be rejected.
6.	Stories must be written by one person. Co-authored stories are not accepted.
7.	The management and staff at Bindu Media facilitating this contest under Ndeipi Pvt Ltd Reserve the right to publish entered stories on their sites. Once the story is received it will be posted on this page
8.	Deadline: Entries must be received by September 30, 2019 (23:59 local time).
9.	Awards All prize winners will be announced on October 7, 2019 on this website. Certificates and gifts will be mailed to the winners in October 2019. We are unable to answer individual inquiries concerning contest results.
